A big function of shamanic soul work in the world concerns counseling and dreamwork skills. This second year of the Series on Dreaming will put attention of a skill-set for working with each other and with clients professionally.

We will learn such foundational methods as active listening and saying back skills, working with a client or partners ‘thick words’ to burrow in more deeply, help them find solutions from within, rather than directing them towards solutions. We will learn to work with “dream cruxes” and discover how to open virtually any kind of dream.

Learning these skill-sets will help also us interpersonally, as a community, and in our private relationships, in our professional relationships, and in our organic community building.

In the first year of the shamanic dreaming series, we explored and experienced many different kinds of dreaming: sleep dreams, active dream re-entry, shamanic dreaming with drumming, and sacred breathwork ™ as a kind of active dreaming. This second year we will learn shamanic counseling skill-sets for this on ourselves, in dyads, and in community context.

Because we will be learning Shamanic Counseling Skills and ways of helping people open their dreams, we will draw on one of the most empowering, creativity-generating, insight-generating skill sets: focusing on a felt sense. This experiential-learning process will be integrated with our foundational Shamanic Psychology: The Three Soul Matrix, the Heart and its navigational system and NGS (which is implicit in any felt-sense, and which is a function of the body-soul, in our model).

This is a good time for new people to come and explore Crows Nest Center for Shamanic Studies, learn about apprenticeship and mentoring opportunities, and to experience a wonderful shamanic community. It is also an excellent opportunity for those already seasoned shamanic practitioners seeking to enrich their professional shamanic services to their clientele.
